London is the capital city of the United Kingdom. The city stands on the banks of the river Thames and is a major settlement. It is a leading global destination and it becomes necessary to know what things to do in London if you are visiting.

If you love swimming, join the marathon and swim through the best ponds, parks and pools in London. The Swimmer is a half marathon covering 6 miles starting from the natural Hampstead ponds, stopping for dips at the Serpentine and Parliament Hill Lido. The journey ends at Brockwell Lido. Taking part in the marathon is one of the things to do in London this weekend.

What to do in London this Weekend is the 38th London International Mime Festival. From 8th Jan to the 1st of February, the Gallic show ‘L’Apres Midi D’un Foehn’ is going to take the city by storm. Gone are the days when one would associate ‘mime’ with images of trapped people in black and white. You will be seeing dancing plastic bags in this show!
