Make Your Visit Worthwhile by Seeing Top 20 Attractions of London!

If you’re planning a visit to London, you should know what’s there in store for you beforehand. You don’t want to run around in circles without some planning. London is one of the most amazing tourist destinations and there are a number of attractions and events taking place here.

Trafalgar Square- The Heart of London
The square has been named so to commemorate the victory of Lord Nelson over the French in the Battle of Trafalgar. During Christmas, the biggest Christmas tree in London is placed in the middle of this square. Since 1947, such trees have been gifted annually by the city of Oslo. This place is amongst the top 20 attractions of London for many reasons including Nelson’s column in the middle surrounded by four lion statues, the central fountain and the many other statues that adorn the plinths of the square.

Be Awed with the London Mime Festival
Amongst the things to do in London this weekend is to catch a show at the London International Mime Festival (LIMF). The festival continues till 1st February and is an annual event. This year, there are some truly spectacular shows that are not to be missed.

The English are known for their tea and cake routine. If you are in the city, one of the things to do in London today is go for a tea break at the widely popular Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon at the Fortnum and Mason department store. Delight at their fresh scones, pastries, sandwiches and of course, teas.

Snooker for Sports Enthusiasts
The world’s top 16 Snooker players will compete at the Masters this year at a new venue. The biggest event in the sport of Snooker will be held at the Alexandra Palace between the 12thand the 19th of January.

Shake a Leg on Ice
If you missed out on ice skating this winter, don’t worry. Canary Wharf in London allows you to ice skate to your heart’s content till 16th February.
